2017-03-26 Sunday: Day of Rest

It is Sunday and we went to mass at 7:45. The air conditioner was working which makes attending mass more comfortable.

Here are two pictures of the church. The first one taken yesterday and the second one taken in 2015. In the two months the parish priest was here, he has made all these changes. Did I mention the air conditioning?

The priest preached quite powerfully. He drilled down to us that God thirsts for us. The reading for this week about the man born blind in John 9 relates to the Samaritan woman in John 4. God desires us and we need to respond to his invitation.

After the homily, six boys were accepted as altar servers in a formal ceremony. It is quite touching to see boys in the Parish school serve at mass. The students also acted as ushers.

They were also promoting the school at the end of the mass. I was impressed with the girl who spoke. She spoke without notes and her English is good.

We went to buy some roast pig. The place has a line up and it was just 10:30 am! They guy at the window was chopping like crazy and it looks like he's been doing this for years.

Went home for lunch and went up to catch some sleep.
